Joaquin, the HurricaneI had this brilliant idea to brave a Hurricane today. I woke up looked my wife dead in the eyes and told her to get dressed we were going to the beach. Obviously she was in disbelief but she is a solid supporter of my photographer and she bundled up for the harsh winds and we headed out. After a hearty breakfast of french toast (we ran out of normal bread so we used hot dog rolls; judge us) we were on the road to Ocean City. Our son was super nervous once I told him we were driving straight into the hurricane but he eased up once I told him all his friends would be super jealous of the experience. Upon arrival to the already flooded Ocean City I was quickly reminded that it was H20i weekend (a Volkswagen car meet/show) and their were just about as money cops as stupid drivers. Once we found a safe parking area we took off towards the inlet. The wind was absolutely insane and sand was literally blowing everywhere. We marched down to the pier where I was able to grab a few good shots and save some tourist from getting ripped out to sea.
